Mollie’s Stone’s famous hams are great on their own, but they’re also an excellent canvas for customization to your personal tastes. By adding a glaze or sauce, you can dress up a high-quality ham and choose a flavor profile that complements your side dishes.

We have many ready-to-use glazes and sauces available, but you’ll find our three homemade options here are delicious and quick to make.

Mango Ginger Glaze is a sticky sweet concoction with crystalized ginger for a kick.

Rum Raisin Sauce is a thick sauce made with pineapple, brown sugar, and raisins plumped in rum for a tropical twist.

Horseradish & Cream Sauce has a light texture with a balance of heat from the horseradish and sweetness from applesauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 oz mango jam
  • 4 oz honey
  • 4 oz crystallized ginger

DAVE’S RUM RAISIN SAUCE
Mollie Stone’s Markets Original Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 8 oz can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup raisins
  • Rum to cover raisins (approximately 1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch with water to dissolve

DIRECTIONS

Pour rum over raisins and set aside to plump for 30 minutes.

In a small saucepan, place the raisins, rum, pineapple with juice and brown sugar. Stir to blend. Over low heat, bring to a low boil and slowly stir in cornstarch mixture.

When the mixture begins to thicken, remove from heat. Adjust thickness with additional juice or water if it is too thick for your preference. Serve with cooked ham.

Substitutions:

  • Try cranberries instead of raisins.
  • The alcohol burns off during cooking, but for a non-alcohol sauce cover raisins with hot water or pineapple juice instead of rum.
