Recipe: Aloha Sub

This June, take a little trip to the tropics with the Aloha Sub. There is a great sweet & savory balance between sweet teriyaki sauce & grilled pineapple with the zing of 3 Pepper Colby Jack cheese & red onion. Tying it all together is Maple Honey Ham, which is made with 100% pure maple syrup and golden honey baked right in. It’s perfect with a Kona Brewing Longboard Island Lager on a warm evening!

ALOHA SUB
Makes 1 sub sandwich

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 sourdough roll
  • 2 oz teriyaki sauce
  • Pineapple tidbit, drained
  • 3 oz Maple Honey Ham
  • 2 oz 3 Pepper Colby Jack
  • 2 slices red onion
  • Baby spinach

DIRECTIONS

Drain, then heat the pineapple tidbit by grill or microwave. Assemble the sandwich, from the bottom up: half of the teriyaki sauce, a layer of pineapple tidbit, Boar’s Head Maple Honey Ham, Boar’s Head 3 Pepper Colby Jack, red onion, a layer of baby spinach, and the other half of the teriyaki sauce.
