Introducing… High & Dry Hard Cider, a Mollie Stone’s and South City Ciderworks perfect Summertime Sip!
This is our first collaboration with the San Bruno based Cidery and we are excited to present our take on the classic bone dry cider. With zero sugar and light acidity, this cider highlights its two core components of fresh-pressed West Coast apples and white wine yeast. A crisp and refreshing finish makes this cider perfect for pairing with food or for enjoying solo.
How did South City Ciderworks start?
In 2015, husband and wife duo Alex and Jenn Martell set out to make what they wanted to drink! They chose San Bruno as home base for South City Ciderworks to become one of the 1st urban cideries in the Bay Area! At the start Jenn recalls that their goal was to create an, “easy drinking cider in 12oz cans, like the Guinness of cider”, but it would quickly evolve into much more due to popular demand.
The Hard Cider
High & Dry Hard Cider will be South City Ciderworks first retail collaboration. Jenn describes, “Mollie Stone’s was pretty much the 1st retail company that took a chance on us and when we were asked to create a 100% dry, no sugar, no nonsense easy drinking cider … it was a no brainer for us to do a collaboration!”.
These 16 oz. cans are sure to be your summer grab and go hard cider. Each batch is made with 100% fresh pressed apple juice and white wine yeast, all ordered and packaged the same week as they are shipped to our stores. Jenn notes, “the white wine yeast brings forward sauvignon blanc with citrus notes. No extra sugar, no extra apple juice, fermented all the way to dryness.”. With this focus on simple yet quality ingredients, the apple juice used is one that uses multiple varieties to add complexity to the cider.
