New Local Products Worth a Try

Winner of a gold medal at the Sonoma County Harvest Fair, this healthy granola was created by 3 friends and is produced in Sebastopol, CA.  It is wheat free, dairy free, and salt free, all natural and delicious.

Made from her grandmother’s recipe, San Rafael resident Kara Romanik has made some amazing pies.  Available as a whole pie or “pocket size”, they are free of preservatives.  Therefore, the pies are sold frozen and are delicious hot out of the oven.  Flavors of fresh strawberry, apple and pumpkin will be a treat.  I tried the pocket pie and it was tasty and not too sweet as some pies can be.

Wooden Table Bakery in Oakland, CA, started by Andreas Ozzuna,  has recreated some of the delicious and sweet homemade desserts her grandmother made in Argentina.  The bonbons that  are being introduced in our stores will be labeled A&C Bonbons which are the initials of the two creators.  These heart-shaped bonbons are made with non-GMO dark chocolate filling with luscious Dulce de Leche to represent love in all its forms.

Committed to eating simple, without additives, Jenny has created a better dairy-free drink alternative.  Three Trees offers several different flavored almond milks, which are made almost entirely from organic almonds.  It is pure, with no added thickeners or stabilizers.

Founded by two chefs in Sonoma County, they use only the freshest and mostly locally grown organic ingredients.  Beside the usual  flavors like roasted garlic, they also offer some unique and new ones such as Vodka & Cream,  Butternut Squash, and Kale Pesto with White Cheddar.
