As we gather around the table with our families and loved ones, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on what we are thankful for.
I would like to thank our devoted employees who serve all our guests for their dedication and commitment to our customers. They have been working hard to provide the best customer experience and create an environment that nourishes you and your family.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing customers for making us your local grocer, and for coming together as a community to help those in need. Making a difference in people’s lives through food is the cornerstone of who we are. Serving our communities has always meant more than providing fresh food and high-quality services. What has been truly inspiring is how much you – our generous customers have also given back.
Our in-store Grab & Give Food Drive for the SF-Marin Food Bank has donated 120,345 pounds since we started the program in 2016. Customers like you have donated prepacked bags of non-perishable food items discounted with a 10% contribution from us – helping the food bank in the fight against hunger and put food on the table for families in need this holiday season.
I also want to thank customers that have donated to our in-store fundraising drive for the World Food Program, raising money for the people of Ukraine. We have raised over $60,000, making a difference for families facing food insecurity caused by the onset of sudden and devastating conflict, the main driver of hunger globally.
Even in these uncertain times we have so much to be grateful for. Coming together to help one another is inspiring to see and the most meaningful way to express gratitude I can think of.
