In celebration of Giving Tuesday Mollie Stone’s Markets is proud to continue to make a difference in people’s lives through food, whether we are keeping our communities clean with Adopt a Highway or fundraising for and donating to great causes.
Since 2016 we’ve been working with SF-Marin Food Bank in the fight against hunger. Our annual Holiday Grab & Give food drive offers prepackaged bags of non-perishable food items discounted with a 10% contribution from Mollie Stone’s. With the help of our generous customers, we can put food on the table for families in need this holiday season. Holiday Grab & Give bags are available to purchase and donate at all 9 Mollie Stone’s locations.
Also, with the help of our community we are able to give on a global scale with our customers donating over $60,000 so far to the to the World Food Programme. WFP is helping to feed millions of people in Ukraine affected by the ongoing conflict. All markets are participating in the Donate to Ukraine fundraising efforts. 100% of proceeds are given to WFP.
We are so proud to share that this year our owner, Mike Stone, received The Food Industry Association’s Robert B. Wegman Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence. This award celebrates Mike’s generosity and innovation during a time of great anxiety and societal turbulence. Mike and Mollie Stone’s Markets donated needed resources to hospitals, food banks, schools, first responders and various non-profits, such as financial support, PPE, food, volunteers and customer match programs. Mike’s generosity is the embodiment of the kind of warmhearted, ethical entrepreneurship that Robert B. Wegman represents, and our team couldn’t be prouder!
