Mollie Stone’s Markets Donates $25,000 to San Francisco-Marin Food Bank

Mollie Stone’s Markets’ donation of $25,000 to the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank is to help address food insecurity across the Bay Area.

Due to the current circumstances in our nation, many individuals who rely on SNAP to put food on their tables will not be receiving their benefits this month. This has been a devastating blow to 90,000 families in San Francisco and Marin – who are already struggling.

Our partners at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank are already seeing a surge in demand for their services. The donation that Mollie Stone’s Markets has provided aims to help support the programs that make up their Community Response to current increased needs.

These programs include, provision of gift cards to SNAP recipients in San Francisco to cover benefits in November, a temporary increase in food pantry capacity, and also plan to temporarily expand their Home-Delivered Grocery program to support community members who are unable to go to a food pantry right now to get the food they need.

As a family-owned grocer serving the community since 1986, Mollie Stone’s is deeply committed to giving back. This latest contribution builds on its long-running Grab & Give program, which provides thousands of meals to local families each year.
