Citizen Chef offers a simple solution by providing freshly cut vegetables, delicious gourmet sauces and wholesome grains all in one dinner kit now available in Mollie Stone’s produce department.

Think of Citizen Chef as your “personal sous chef” – everything is measured in perfect quantities and the prewashed veggies are cut to cook evenly and quickly. Simply add your choice of meat, seafood or tofu and you’ll have a delicious meal in just 15 minutes.

Inspired by favorite dishes from around the world, Citizen Chef dinner kits were designed by a local Bay Area Chef in mouthwatering combinations ranging from Thai Sesame Stir Fry to Chipotle Adobo Saute.

The kits come in 2 sizes: 2-3 servings and 4-5 servings. Each kit is made locally and most are gluten-free (the Thai, Hawaiian, Chipotle and Pan-Asian)!

THAI SESAME STIR FRY: Freshly cut batonnet carrots, purple cabbage, sugar snap peas and sweet red onions simmered in a Thai Sesame Sauce with fresh coconut milk, roasted sesame seeds and a hint of ginger served over a bed of brown rice.

  • Suggested proteins: Chicken, beef or tofu.
  • Wine pairing: Full-bodied Chardonnay, Riesling, Gwerstraminer.
  • Beer pairing: Heavier lager with some bitterness, brown ale.

HAWAIIAN BBQ STIR FRY: Freshly cut batonnet carrots, purple cabbage and sugar snap peas simmered in a Hawaiian BBQ Sauce with roasted tomatoes, fresh ginger and a hint of sweet pineapple over long grain rice.

  • Suggested proteins: Chicken, beef or shrimp.
  • Wine pairing: Spanish Tempranillo, Italian Chianti, Pinot Noir, or any medium-bodied, fruit-forward red.

CHIPOTLE ADOBO SAUTE:A fajita blend of fresh bell peppers and sweet red onions simmered in a Chipotle Adobo Sauce with fresh vine-ripened California tomatoes and a hint of lime served over brown rice.

  • Suggested proteins: Chicken, shrimp or tofu.
  • Wine pairing: Shiraz/Syrah, Zinfandel, medium-bodied Cabernet.
  • Beer pairing: Almost any kind of beer.

PAN-ASIAN ORANGE STIR FRY: Freshly cut broccoli florets, batonnet carrots and green beans simmered in an Orange Peel Sauce with fresh ginger, orange peel and a hint of lemongrass served over a bed of brown rice.

  • Suggested proteins: Chicken, beef or shrimp.
  • Wine pairing: Big Chardonnay, dry Rosé, Riesling, Gwerstraminer, fruit-forward Pinot Noir.
  • Beer pairing: Lager, brown ale.

TUSCAN LIMONE GARLIC SAUTE: Freshly cut broccoli florets, batonnet carrots and sweet red onions simmered in a Limone Garlic Sauce with fresh garlic, lemon peel and extra virgin olive oil served over a bed of couscous.

  • Suggested proteins: Chicken, shrimp or tofu.
  • Wine pairing: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, lighter Chardonnay, Pinot Noir.
  • Beer pairing: Light ale, lager.
