California Avocados in the Winter

As you may have noticed—it’s a bit challenging to find California grown avocados in the Winter. The famous California Hass avocado peak season generally runs from Spring through Fall. The last time you’ve enjoyed a delicious California avocado was probably last October and other avocados just aren’t the same! Don’t worry, California avocados are back. Lemon Zest Beet Crostini

A bright, healthy and zesty appetizer dish for your next party!

Ingredients:

4 Medium-sized beets (we used golden beets) 2 Baguettes sliced (1/2 inch thick) Head of roasted garlic cloves Extra-virgin olive oil 1 pack (5 oz) Chevre Honey Goat Milk Cheese 8 oz Cream cheese Grated zest of 3 lemons Salt and pepper to taste.
