Ever bought one of those big bag of clementines and can’t finish the whole thing? A great alternative use for them is juicing. This green juice is the perfect thing to get you going in the morning. The sweetness of the clementines helps cut the bitterness of the kale, and the carrots add even more nutrients! If you don’t have clementines, this recipe tastes just as delicious with oranges. Let’s get juicing!
Note* This recipe was created with a masticating slow juicer. If you have a centrifugal juicer please refer to your manufacturer’s instructions. You may need to add more fruits and veggies with a centrifugal juicer to yield as much juice.
Ingredients:
Makes 1 serving (about 8-10 oz)
6 peeled clementines
2 carrots
1-2 cup chopped kale (depending on how much you like kale!)
Cut the carrots in half or quarters. Feed the kale in first, then the clementines, and then finally the carrots. The hardness of the carrots will help clean out your juicer! Give your juice a good stir and enjoy.
